Juan Pablo has more than 20 years of experience in investing and building companies across the ag & food value chain. JP is managing partner of Xperiment Ventures, a VC fund with a novel ecosystem approach to invest in bold ventures transforming global ag, food and nature-based supply chains.  Mr. Trujillo is also co-founder and managing partner of Pampa Capital, a pioneer private equity equity investor in Latin America with a strong track record in the agribusiness and food sector. Since Pampa Capital´s founding in 2002, Mr. Trujillo oversaw building and managing the execution of Pampa´s investment strategy, which has successfully built several market leading companies across diverse segments in the agroindustrial value chain (including primary production, logistics and new technologies), which have been acquired by blue-chip multi-national players. Pampa has been an active, control investor in its portfolio companies and played a pivotal role in building its team and operations through very volatile environments. Among others, Pampa was key player in building Adeco Agro, one of Latin America`s largest farmland operators currently listed in the NYSE (AGRO);  Pla Group, a leading precision farming equipment  company acquired by John Deere & Company; Sursem S.A. and Geneze Sementes S.A, two leading biotech seed companies acquired by Vilmorin & Cie SA, one of the largest seed companies globally; and Campo Austral group, the second largest fully-integrated pork producer in Argentina, acquired by BRF Group. JP has raised through Pampa more than $500 million from leading global investors. Mr. Trujillo and Pampa are currently focused in investments in businesses that though new technologies and innovation provide solutions to traditional operational bottlenecks and environmental challenges in key sectors in the region which have been traditionally laggards in adopting such technologies, such as agriculture, utilities and oil & gas. Prior to Pampa Mr. Trujillo was a Vice President in Credit Suisse`s Technology Group   and Investment Banking Groups in New York  (1996-2002). Mr. Trujillo holds an MPA from Harvard University, and with honors a B.A. in Economics, a J.D. and a specialization in Business Law from Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia.
