In retrospect, the XVI Livestock Conference marked an important milestone in the history of our annual event. For the past 17 years, we have had the honor of organizing these conferences, and each edition has given us the opportunity to learn and grow as a community.

The year 2020 presented an unprecedented challenge for all of us. The global pandemic forced us to rethink the way we share knowledge and experiences. However, the spirit of the Livestock Conference did not fade; instead, it evolved. In 2021, we took a bold step into the virtual world, allowing the livestock community to gather safely from their homes and offices across the country.

But in 2022, we were eager to reconnect face-to-face. More than 800 passionate cattle producers gathered in three key cities: Bogotá, Pereira and Medellín. It was an emotional reunion full of camaraderie, showing that the passion for livestock never fades.

A LEGACY OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Throughout all our Livestock Conferences, we have remained committed to high academic standards and to attracting the best speakers. Over the years, we have hosted 11 PhD-level lecturers, 8 experts with Master of Science degrees, and nearly 30 specialists in various areas of the livestock business, including nutrition, animal health, reproduction, milk harvesting, soil management and administration.
Each keynote presentation has offered deep and valuable perspectives, up to date shared knowledge, and practical solutions for the challenges faced by the livestock sector. These conferences have shown us that, despite technological advancements and innovations, it is always essential to return to the basics in order to keep moving forward.

KEEP LEARNING WITH US
We reaffirm our ongoing commitment to the livestock community. As we look to the future, we continue to be a beacon of knowledge— a space where passion and experience come together to drive the sustainable growth of our sector.
